Gasgoo Munich- NIO delivered its 120,000th ES8 in Shanghai on June 22. It took 275 days for the model to reach this milestone since its late-September 2025 market debut.

The 120,000th owner, Ms. Ye, previously drove a combustion-engine three-row SUV. She cited the ES8's interior layout, ride comfort, and intelligent features as key factors in her decision to switch.
Recent retail data shows ES8 sales reached 11,472 units in May 2026. This marks the sixth consecutive month the model ranked first in both the large SUV and the 400,000-yuan price bracket.
Data from CAAM indicates that pure electric three-row SUVs continued to lead all powertrain types in May. Since overtaking extended-range vehicles last September, pure electric models have surpassed their extended-range counterparts in sales for nine consecutive months, indicating that consumer preference for battery-electric power is steadily increasing.
The all-new ES8 offers flexible purchasing options. The price ranges from 406,800 to 446,800 yuan, while the entry price drops to 298,800 yuan with the company's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) leasing plan.
Inside, the ES8 features a Skyline display and a floating central screen, alongside an upgraded NOMI AI system. The interior adopts a three-spoke steering wheel and changes the central display from a portrait to a landscape layout for better visibility. A full 900V high-voltage architecture powers dual motors producing a combined 520 kW and 700 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.97 seconds.
