Gasgoo Munich-on September 23, NIO founder, Chairman, and CEO William Li handed over the 30,000th ES9 to He Yinjun, chairman of Suyingshi, in Suzhou. Since deliveries began on May 28, the ES9 has hit the 30,000-unit mark in just 119 days — a pace that continues to set records for high-end pure electric SUVs in the 500,000 yuan segment.

The ES9 previously hit the 10,000 and 20,000-unit marks at just 30 and 73 days, respectively, setting speed records for its segment at every stage. This latest 30,000-unit milestone indicates an accelerating delivery pace, with the model crossing the threshold in under four months.
Launched on May 27, 2026, the ES9 is positioned as a "tech executive flagship" large pure electric SUV. Pricing starts at 498,000 yuan for an outright purchase, dropping to 390,000 yuan with the BaaS battery subscription. Built on a full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, the SUV comes standard with a 102 kWh battery offering 620 kilometers of CLTC range, along with steer-by-wire, fully active suspension, and rear-wheel steering.
Data from the China Passenger Car Association shows the ES9 recorded 6,474 retail sales in August 2026. This makes it the best-selling pure electric model in the 500,000 yuan segment for three consecutive months.
