Gasgoo Munich- On April 28, NIO’s sub-brand Onvo took the stage in Hangzhou for its L80 product technology launch. At the event, NIO Founder and CEO Li Bin unveiled the pre-sale pricing: 245,800 yuan for an outright purchase, or 159,800 yuan with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option.

The pre-sale price announcement surprised the audience. The timing and low price were unexpected. A large five-seat SUV featuring battery swapping and an all-aluminum body starts below 160,000 yuan with BaaS. This suggests NIO integrated significant R&D into the model.

Super Dual Cabin, Industry-First Custom Three-Piece Contour-Fitting Bed
Storage and space are highlights for the Onvo L80. It features a 240L electric front trunk and a 1,200L rear trunk. Cargo capacity expands to 2,600L with the second row folded flat.

The "Super Dual Cabin" design and accessories offer versatility. The L80 includes a loading platform for cyclists, a camping kit, and an industry-first contour-fitting bed.

The contour-fitting bed uses a rigid support molded to the floor contours instead of an inflatable mattress.

Two Intelligent Driving Options, 60 Standard Full-Scenario Safety Features
The Onvo L80 is equipped with NIO’s Shenji NX9031, the automotive industry's first 5nm intelligent driving chip.

The Onvo L80 offers two configurations: an Orin-X pure vision version and a Shenji version with LiDAR. The base model supports highway navigation and automated parking. The premium variant includes hardware for City NOA and Level 3 autonomous driving.
Sixty full-scenario safety functions come standard. Features include a 35-inch AR-HUD and a rigid body structure. The Onvo L80 exceeds national battery safety standards.

Design Updates, 6 Exterior Colors and 4 Interior Themes Available
The design supports the extensive configuration. The model offers six body colors and four interior themes.
The L80 features Onvo's signature design. The interior integrates Chinese elements like "Jinxiu Mantang" embroidery and "Zhuyu" textures. Ambient lighting enhances the cabin atmosphere.

The Onvo L80 resets the value benchmark for large SUVs. This is enabled by NIO’s R&D investment of over 67 billion yuan. The L80 leverages these amortized capabilities to offer high-end features at a lower price point.
The Onvo L80 is competitive in its segment. Display vehicles are available at showrooms. Test drives begin on May 1, and the official launch is on May 15.
