Gasgoo Munich-Gasgoo reported that orders for the SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 5S increased since its launch. Display vehicles at dealerships in key cities were sold out. Terminal data shows that over 60% of buyers selected the top-spec Max version priced at 119,900 yuan, instead of the entry-level model at 89,900 yuan.

The ID. ERA 5S Max features CARIZON's HS8 end-to-end model and Horizon Robotics' J6M chip.It supports city navigation assistance, highway NOA, and memory parking. The model offers city NOA capabilities under 120,000 yuan without optional add-ons. It is the first Volkswagen sedan globally to feature city NOA.
Data shows over 55% of buyers are under 39 years old. Women account for nearly 40%. To handle increased demand, SAIC Volkswagen introduced a delivery assurance pledge. Customers receive 100 yuan in V-Beans per day if a vehicle arrives later than the estimated date, up to 3,000 yuan. These can be redeemed for merchandise, accessories, or service packages.
Fu Qiang, executive vice president of sales and marketing at SAIC Volkswagen, stated the ID. ERA 5S is positioned for high volume as the second model in the family. The goal is to maintain the brand's legacy as a national family sedan.
