Shanghai (Gasgoo)- According to Gasgoo Seeds, on the evening of Jan. 13, 2026, Zhiyou Wujie announced it had closed an angel round of nearly 20 million yuan. The round was led by an institution focused on automotive technology, with participation from industrial capital. Just four months after its founding, Zhiyou Wujie has completed three consecutive financings, for a total of nearly 50 million yuan.

Public records show Zhiyou Wujie emerged from Professor Wang Xueqian's intelligent robotics lab at Tsinghua University and was established in August 2025. The company focuses on industrial embodied intelligence, aiming to empower hardware with models to build autonomous, flexible and generalizable smart devices, initially targeting logistics handling and ship-spraying robot applications.
The company has built an industrial embodied-intelligence architecture that "defines hardware by models," using a stable, layered approach that combines a cloud-based multimodal foundation model + on-site industrial multi-expert models + a "cerebellum" task layer for reinforcement and imitation learning. The goal is to explore AI training paradigms for dynamic industrial scenarios and, leveraging robotic hardware, deliver end-to-end capability output.

On the founding team, CEO and founder Guo Guanqiu is a PhD candidate in robotics at Tsinghua University's Shenzhen International Graduate School under Professor Wang Xueqian. He specializes in robot control and algorithms, has led multiple industry–academia projects, and holds top-journal publications and over 10 invention patents. With solid experience in engineering deployment and team management, he has won national awards in robotics competitions multiple times.
In terms of deployment scenarios, Zhiyou Wujie has already secured orders from Shenzhen International, COSCO Shipping and Jiasheng New Materials, among others. Its customers span production-oriented central SOEs, asset-heavy listed state-owned enterprises, and unicorn-style private firms.
