Xiaomi Auto Surpasses 800,000 Cumulative Deliveries

Edited by Sia From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-Sept 7. Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun announced that Xiaomi Auto’s cumulative deliveries have officially surpassed 800,000 units. It took roughly 29 months to hit this milestone from the first batch on April 3, 2024.

Since the start of 2026, Xiaomi Auto has seen a steady climb in monthly deliveries: January topped 39,000 units, while February and March each exceeded 20,000. From April through August, the company broke the 30,000-unit mark for five consecutive months.

August recorded over 30,000 deliveries despite the traditional off-season, demonstrating stable production ramp-up capabilities and resilient market demand.

In terms of model mix, the Xiaomi YU7—a pure electric mid-to-large SUV—has become the primary driver of deliveries. Having launched just six months ago, cumulative sales of the YU7 have already surpassed 150,000 units. Its positioning in the 250,000 RMB price bracket, paired with balanced specifications, has made it the key growth driver for volume.

The first mass-produced model, the Xiaomi SU7 series, exceeded 500,000 cumulative deliveries as of August 17. It took 28.5 months from launch to reach that half-million mark—a record for a single model among Chinese startups.

In January 2026, Xiaomi announced it would stop taking orders for the original SU7, shifting focus entirely to the next-generation SU7 and the YU7 series.

Regarding cumulative deliveries, Xiaomi Auto hit 700,000 deliveries on July 30, 2026. Just over a month later, that figure has crossed the 800,000 threshold.

Holding steady above the 30,000-unit monthly delivery level for five straight months from April to August, the company is bolstering its production capacity in parallel. The construction archives for the Beijing Yizhuang Phase II plant have passed acceptance, clearing a key regulatory hurdle for the facility’s completion acceptance.

Lei Jun had previously set a full-year delivery target of 550,000 units for 2026.

With capacity from the Phase II plant gradually coming online and a continued buildup of orders for the new SU7 and YU7 series, Xiaomi Auto is preparing for a surge in the next phase of deliveries.
