Gasgoo Munich- Gasgoo Auto reports that XPENG has announced its GX showroom vehicles will begin arriving at dealerships nationwide starting April 18.

XPENG launched pre-sales for its first full-size flagship SUV, the GX, on April 15, priced at 399,800 yuan. The vehicle offers two configurations: Pure Electric and Super Range Extender. The Pure Electric all-wheel-drive version has a CLTC range of 750 km, while the Super Range Extender version provides 430 km of electric driving and a total range of 1,585 km.

The GX utilizes L4-native architecture, steer-by-wire chassis technology, aviation-grade redundant safety, and technology derived from its Robotaxi platform to set a new benchmark for full-size flagship SUVs.

As China's first mass-produced Robotaxi prototype developed with full-stack self-reliance and pre-installed hardware, the GX makes autonomous driving capabilities typically reserved for robotaxis available to the mass market.

In terms of computing, the vehicle delivers up to 3,000 TOPS of effective computing power. This provides sufficient processing capability for running AI algorithms in the physical world, fusing multi-sensor data, and making real-time driving decisions.

In terms of software, the second-generation VLA model enables autonomous navigation in parking lots and obstacle avoidance in heavy rain, fog, or low-light conditions. With VLA and VLM fused across domains, the system supports voice control features, allowing drivers to verbally command turns or acceleration, or use vague instructions such as "park near the elevator." The second-generation VLA also enables autonomous parking in highway service areas without human intervention.

The cabin features an on-device VLM large model that supports local fuzzy semantic dialogue, enabling functions like searching for locations using vague descriptions or selecting complex routes. Additionally, AI digital projection headlights allow the car to communicate with the outside world through light patterns, signaling lane changes or yielding to pedestrians.
