The company states the 8X utilizes a 0.618 golden ratio design and a 1:4 wheel-to-axle ratio, with dimensions of 5,100 x 1,998 x 1,780 mm and a wheelbase of 3,069 mm. It features an integrated waterfall grille inspired by palace architecture, along with an aerodynamic hood with side air ducts that reduce drag and lower the visual center for a lower profile. It is also equipped with a dual-core, speed-sensitive Active Grille Shutter (AGS) — a 100,000-square-millimeter smart grille that balances cooling efficiency with low wind resistance.
The 8X also features zero-gap flush doors, where the glass sits flush with the frame for aesthetics and aerodynamics. Its sweptback roofline flows from the rear to the front, tapering to create a sense of motion, while a dynamic shoulder line runs forward from the taillights to create a floating roof effect. At the rear, a wide-body, low-slung design features a 1.12 width-to-height ratio. It is equipped with Vast Star Diamond Matrix headlights with a wide light strip embedded with 25,368 diamond facets, plus a Coastline through-taillight featuring 54,894 diamond facets and 630nm ultra-red light technology.
The ZEEKR 8X has completed filing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, though specific launch and sales dates remain undisclosed. Reports indicate the new model utilizes a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system, using the same engine as the ZEEKR 9X with a maximum power of 205 kW. While drive motor details have not been released, earlier reports suggest the 8X could feature a tri-motor megawatt drive system, a 6C ultra-fast-charging battery, the Vast AI digital chassis, and 48-volt active stabilizer bars.
Regarding product lineup, ZEEKR has already launched several SUVs including the 7X and 9X. With the upcoming arrival of the 8X, the brand will complete its lineup of high-performance plug-in hybrid flagship SUVs, further strengthening its presence in the premium SUV market.
