Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s telecom giant China Unicom recently announced that the company has been actively conducting real-name registrations for V2X network card users, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Since February 2022, China Unicom’s automotive connection technology company, China Unicom Smart Connection (CUSC) has hosted numerous online and offline meetings about real-name registrations with over 60 automakers in China, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, and Tesla.
In the meantime, CUSC has achieved periodical results regarding the T1 joint debugging of the V2X network card real-name registration platform, with multiple automakers, including GAC AION, BYD, Dongfeng Nissan, and others.
Moreover, CUSC has provided terminal-to-terminal solutions for V2X network card real-name registration for Li Auto, Ford Motor, and Mercedes-Benz.
CUSC’s real-name registration platform offers one-stop service for automakers and dealers to quickly meet the criteria set by local regulators. In compliance with the documents issued by the MIIT, CUSC’s real-name registration service covers the vehicle R&D and testing phase, dealerships’ display and test drive vehicles, V2X network card exchanges, and more.
