Gasgoo Munich- hina's State Administration for Market Regulation recently approved six national standards for humanoid robots under Announcement No. 43 of 2026. The batch includes GB/T 48317.2—2026, Technical Requirements for Humanoid Robots – Part 2: Environmental Perception. Daimon Robotics, the sole embodied intelligence vision-tactile company among the drafting units, contributed to the development of the Technical Requirements for Humanoid Robots – Part 2: Environmental Perception standard.

The six standards cover general rules, environmental perception, decision-making and planning, motion control, task operation, and simulation testing platforms. All are set to take effect on April 1, 2027. The environmental perception standard, managed by the National Technical Committee for Robotics Standardization, is a recommended national standard. It targets the functionality and performance of perception systems, aiming to harmonize fragmented technical requirements and make cross-product capability comparisons easier—establishing common norms for R&D, capability evaluation, and application selection.
Environmental perception underpins reliable physical interaction. For delicate tasks, robots must grasp contact positions, force shifts, and sliding states to grip objects securely and adjust movements on the fly. During drafting, Daimon Robotics worked alongside Unitree, UBTECH, Xiaomi Robotics, and Pujiang National Laboratory. The group wove technical practices—spanning vision-tactile sensors, tactile-anchored world models, and real-world physical interaction data collection—into the national perception framework.
Beyond the newly released environmental perception standard, two other national standards involving Daimon Robotics have opened for public comment: General Technical Requirements for Robot Teleoperation and Humanoid Robot Datasets – Part 2: Whole-Body Operation. Meanwhile, a national standardization guiding technical document it helped draft, Artificial Intelligence – Intelligence Classification for Embodied Intelligence, has reached the approval stage.
