Gasgoo Munich- On April 20, AISTALAND—the new energy vehicle brand jointly developed by Huawei Qiankun and GAC Group—announced that its GT7 model (test vehicle code: GAC AHC7000BEVW0D) has received official approval from the Guangzhou municipal government to conduct Level 3 conditional autonomous driving tests.

The testing will take place on designated urban expressways and highways across Guangzhou, marking a key regulatory milestone for the program.
Co-developed by Huawei Qiankun and GAC, the GT7 is positioned as a technology-forward model equipped with one of the most advanced sensor suites currently available in mass production. This includes an 896-line LiDAR system—among the highest specifications in the industry—paired with an integrated dual-focus vision system capable of handling both wide-angle and long-range perception tasks.
Such hardware places the vehicle at the upper end of the autonomous driving technology spectrum.
Following the approval, the GT7 will undergo a one-year testing program across 10 major expressways, including the first phase of the Congpu Expressway and the Nansha Port Expressway.
The initiative reflects both Huawei Qiankun's technological capabilities and AISTALAND's development progress, positioning the GT7 among the leading contenders in China's rapidly evolving intelligent driving landscape.
As a joint brand, AISTALAND is designed to fully leverage Huawei's latest intelligent technologies across its entire product lineup. Huawei contributes strengths in advanced driver assistance systems, smart cockpit solutions, user ecosystem integration, and digital marketing, while GAC brings deep expertise in electric powertrain systems and vehicle manufacturing.
Together, the partnership aims to create a highly competitive offering in China's premium intelligent EV segment.
Earlier, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) disclosed key specifications for the GT7, and the model has already opened blind pre-orders. It is scheduled to officially launch in June this year.
