Gasgoo Munich- NavInfo has secured a roughly 100.26 million yuan contract to supply roadside intelligent perception equipment for Beijing's "Dual Smart" City 4.0 project in Fangshan District. The contract has been signed.

This marks the first direct contract NavInfo has won as the lead bidder for roadside perception equipment under the city's 4.0 phase. The project spans 398 intersections across 190 sq km of Fangshan District, centering on equipment delivery alongside seamless data transmission to multiple government platforms. The focus has shifted — rather than serving vehicle-road autonomous driving, the project now targets smart city and traffic management.
NavInfo said the win validates both its underlying data capabilities and its ability to deliver roadside perception systems. Previously, the company joined a consortium for Beijing's vehicle-road-cloud 3.0 project in Tongzhou District, producing and deploying high-definition maps across 660 sq km while using roadside data to detect crowdsourced changes and update maps. Moving from the "spatiotemporal base" of Tongzhou's 3.0 phase to the "perception delivery" of Fangshan's 4.0 phase, NavInfo is leveraging high-definition maps to build an end-to-end capability chain — from raw data to roadside perception.
Industry watchers see 2026 as a critical window for the scaled commercialization of "vehicle-road-cloud integration," noting the sector is pivoting from massive infrastructure buildouts to extracting deeper operational value. For NavInfo, the contract represents a strategic foothold in Beijing's 4.0 phase — and another milestone in using its high-definition map data to power smart cities and intelligent transportation.
