Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On December 31, 2025, Horizon Continental Technology Shanghai Co., Ltd., ("nenuHCT"), the joint venture between Horizon Robotics and Continental AG closed a financing round worth close to US$200 million.

The investment was led by a consortium of industrial and market-oriented funds, including Yunfeng Capital, Fortune Capital and Chaos Investment, with strategic shareholders AUMOVIO, which spun off from Continental in last September, and Horizon Robotics increasing their stakes. The deal follows an earlier market-driven round completed in early 2025, underscoring sustained investor confidence in the company’s technology and commercialization outlook.
As intelligent vehicles gain momentum worldwide and key breakthroughs accelerate the adoption of advanced driver assistance, suppliers of smart driving systems are entering a period of structural opportunity. Founded as a joint initiative between Horizon Robotics and AUMOVIO, neueHCT positions itself around the idea of making intelligent driving more accessible, aiming to serve automakers across global markets with scalable and cost-effective solutions.
Building on its in-house technology base, the company has developed a dual-product lineup combining the HCT Astra urban driver's assisatnce system with the HCT Luna high-performance ADAS solution. The latest Astra generation features a single-stage end-to-end architecture designed to deliver a more human-like driving experience in complex urban environments, while targeting mass-market passenger vehicles at around the 100,000-yuan price point.
In 2025, neueHCT secured design wins for more than 10 vehicle models, highlighting a sharp acceleration in commercialization. Beyond China, the company has also made tangible progress overseas, rolling out pilot projects and validation programs in multiple countries and regions as it works to expand the global footprint of intelligent driving technologies.
According to CEO Li Biao, the latest funding round strengthens the company not only financially but also strategically, reflecting investor recognition of its technology roadmap and ability to execute commercially. He noted that neueHCT will continue to focus on technological depth and customer experience, accelerating the rollout of affordable ADAS solutions so that safer and more convenient assisted driving becomes available to users worldwide.
