Gasgoo Munich-AI² Robotics, a Shenzhen-based embodied intelligence firm, recently closed a new funding round. The round raised nearly 5 billion yuan, pushing the company's valuation past 20 billion yuan — making it the first embodied intelligence enterprise in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to surpass that mark.

The investor list for this round achieves full-spectrum capital coverage, spanning state funds, ministries, Greater Bay Area players, insurers, brokerages, industrial partners, and financial investors:
On the state front, participants include the National Small and Medium Enterprises Development Fund and the China Cultural Industry Investment Fund;
Regionally, the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Fund, Shenzhen Capital Group, Nanshan Strategic Emerging Industries Investment, and various Greater Bay Area funds continued to double down;
Industrial capital came from heavyweights like Sino Biopharmaceutical, Pharmaron, Moutai Group, China Merchants Capital, Wuzhou Spring, Wanfeng Holding, and Zhongbei Communication;
Additionally, several insurance companies, along with top-tier brokerage-linked and market-oriented financial investors such as CICC Capital, CSC Financial, Hongtai Capital, GSR Ventures, Bohua Capital, and Aisino Capital, participated deeply;
Existing shareholders, including Fortune Capital, Dunhong Asset, DaoDe Investment, Liang Venture Capital, Wuxi Innovation Capital, and Junli Capital, also increased their stakes.
This marks AI² Robotics’s second major financing round this year. Previously, the company closed a Series B round in February exceeding 1 billion yuan.
Founded in April 2023, AI² Robotics focuses on the R&D, production, and service of productivity-oriented general-purpose robots. To that end, the company has adhered to an end-to-end large model paradigm since inception, independently developing Alpha Brain — the first whole-body embodied large model — and designing the AlphaBot series around it.
The AlphaBot series has already seen large-scale deployment across multiple sectors. In high-end scenarios like automotive, biotechnology, and semiconductor display (including HKC), the robots handle sorting, transfer, and labeling. They also operate in complex, open environments like major transport hubs in first-tier cities, providing public services to passengers. In new retail, AI² Robotics’s "Smart Cube" — a modular embodied intelligence service space launched in late 2025 — is already operating routinely in Beijing and Shenzhen. The company plans to deploy 1,000 Smart Cubes over the next three years, opening a new growth trajectory beyond industrial applications.
