Gasgoo Munich-Archon Robotics, a developer of general-purpose whole-body embodied intelligence, has closed a seed round worth hundreds of millions of yuan, Gasgoo learned on June 29. The round drew backing from top-tier investors including ZhenFund, Gaorong Capital, IDG Capital, and 5Y Capital. Other participants included Gobi Partners—a leading Asian firm—alongside its joint fund with the University of Hong Kong, MiraclePlus, and Shanghai Zhiyuan Academy. Lighthouse Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor.
Proceeds will primarily fuel the development of whole-body humanoid foundation models and the collection of multimodal motion data. The company also plans to expand its talent pool and establish R&D centers. It aims to build an industrial ecosystem to accelerate the launch of an open-source humanoid base model by year-end.

Founded in April 2024, Archon Robotics operates its R&D headquarters in the Caohejing Development Zone of Shanghai's Xuhui District. The startup specializes in general-purpose whole-body humanoid foundation models, aiming to build "Whole-body Intelligence."
