Seeds | PsiBot Announces Completion of 2 Billion Yuan Financing

Gasgoo Munich-  PsiBot has completed its angel and Pre-A financing rounds, raising a total of 2 billion yuan.

The angel round drew investment from state-backed "national team" players like China Development Bank Capital, Guozhong Capital, and the CCTV Media Convergence Industrial Investment Fund. It also secured backing from the strategic investment arm of a listed company worth hundreds of billions.

The Pre-A round was led by Shanghai state-owned Xuhui Capital, with participation from local state-owned assets like the Liangxi Sci-Tech Innovation Phase II Mother Fund (managed by Bohua Capital) and Xi Venture Capital, as well as market-oriented funds including Pufeng Capital and Timing Capital. Several existing investors also increased their stakes significantly.

PsiBot noted that the proceeds will be used to scale applications in logistics scenarios and build a comprehensive system for large-scale data collection solutions.

Founded in 2024, PsiBot boasts a founding team of top industry talent. This includes Dr. Wang Qibin, who brings years of experience steering robotics companies; Chen Yuanpei, a visiting scholar at Stanford University and a Gen Z entrepreneur; and Dr. Chai Xiaojie, who holds deep expertise in robotics and autonomous driving algorithms. The company has also appointed Dr. Yang Yaodong, an assistant professor and Boya Scholar at Peking University's Institute for Artificial Intelligence, as its chief scientist.

Since its inception, PsiBot has focused on solving the challenge of dexterous manipulation in embodied intelligence. Centered on an end-to-end Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model, the company is building a software toolchain. Its proprietary Psi-SynEngine data acquisition engine efficiently captures real-world interaction data, significantly lowering collection costs.

The company has already completed small-scale scenario verification in warehouses of real-world logistics clients, achieving a substantial breakthrough in sorting efficiency.

Building on this, PsiBot plans to establish China's largest dexterous hand dataset by 2026, laying a solid data foundation for embodied intelligence to move from technical leadership to commercial viability. The company aims to further drive the deployment of embodied intelligence in complex logistics environments and streamline delivery processes—bringing humanoid robots from the factory floor to the broader market.
