Gasgoo Munich- Vbot and JD Retail's intelligent robot unit officially inked a strategic partnership on March 31, according to Gasgoo. Anchored by JD's "Intelligent Robot Industry Acceleration 2.0 Plan," the deal aims to deepen collaboration in the field of consumer-grade embodied intelligence.

Leveraging JD's multi-billion-yuan investment in the robotics sector—along with support spanning technology, data, content, and channels—the pair aims to drive mass adoption of the Vbot Super Robot Dog. Their goal: sell more than 1 million units within three years.
The company's debut product, the Vbot Super Robot Dog, generated 6,540 orders and nearly 100 million yuan in sales during its initial pre-sale phase. Following two rounds of public beta testing, the robot has carved out a clear role in the home: acting as a companion for AI interaction indoors, and handling following and load-carrying duties outdoors.
Powered by JD's JoyAI large language model and JoyInside technology, the robot's voice comprehension and interaction capabilities are set to improve. That means more natural exchanges and steadier task execution during multi-turn dialogues.
The two companies first deepened their ties during the 2025 World Robot Conference, with Vbot making consecutive appearances at JD's "Heavyweight New Product Day" and "Lightning New Product Launch" events.
Building on that foundation, the partners will tap JD's massive user base and consumer insights to analyze broader family needs. Those insights will feed back into product iterations, helping to craft embodied intelligence devices that fit seamlessly into Chinese households—and actually serve daily life.
On the distribution front, they are building an integrated system for mass sales. JD brings its core capabilities in user scale, traffic distribution, and offline networks—linking over 700 million consumer users and 8 million-plus corporate clients, across 26 JD MALLs and more than 20,000 JD Home stores. This online-offline network is designed to accelerate the entry of consumer-grade embodied intelligence into real-world homes.
