Gasgoo Munich- At the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Internet Conference on November 3, Xiaomi Group was honored with the "Outstanding Contribution Award" for innovation breakthroughs. Meanwhile, the company's robotics division secured the "Leading Technology Award" for its key technologies in a general-purpose robot operation base model designed for large-scale deployment.
Building on the recognition for its embodied intelligence technology, Xiaomi highlighted two recent breakthroughs in its robotics operations:
On the industrial manufacturing front, the latest Xiaomi robot tackled an eight-hour shift for the first time at a car factory's console side cover sorting station. It met full-day production requirements while achieving autonomous error correction and system-level coordination, marking an initial validation of its production-line operational capabilities.

In a home environment, Xiaomi's embodied base model has begun a "pilot run" at Xiaomi Youth Apartments. Built on the Xiaomi-Robotics-1 pre-trained model, the system establishes a closed loop covering data collection, model inference, and task execution. It currently manages complex, multi-room task chains spanning more than 30 minutes across three rooms, involving over 50 distinct tasks.
Xiaomi reported that total R&D investment from 2021 to 2025 reached 105.5 billion yuan. Spending for the full year of 2025 alone hit 33.1 billion yuan — a 37.8% increase from the previous year. Looking ahead, the company plans to invest over 200 billion yuan in R&D within the next five years, with more than 60 billion yuan earmarked for the AI sector over the next three. The focus will center on frontier fields such as AI large models, embodied intelligence, and intelligent manufacturing.
