XPENG Chairman He Xiaopeng revealed during the earnings call for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025 that the company plans to launch pilot passenger operations for its Robotaxi service in the second half of this year. The move is designed to validate the technology, customer acceptance, and commercial viability. He also noted that XPENG stands at a historic turning point for "physical AI" applications, with R&D spending in this field projected to jump from 4.5 billion yuan last year to 7 billion yuan this year. Beyond autonomous driving, He outlined the company's annual targets for humanoid robots, Turing chips, and overseas expansion.
The latest financial report shows strong momentum. In the fourth quarter of 2025, revenue hit 22.25 billion yuan — a 38.2% year-on-year surge that marked a quarterly record. The company turned a net profit of 380 million yuan, achieving profitability for the period, while the gross margin expanded by 6.9 percentage points to 21.3%, another quarterly best. For the full year, revenue climbed 87.7% to 76.72 billion yuan. The net loss narrowed sharply by 80.3% to 1.14 billion yuan, and the annual gross margin improved by 4.6 percentage points to settle at 18.9%.
The financial gains were largely driven by higher sales volumes. XPENG delivered 116,200 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2025 — a 27.0% increase and a new quarterly high. Annual deliveries soared 125.9% year on year to 429,400 units, with overseas markets contributing 45,000 units, a 95.6% jump from the previous year.
