Gasgoo Munich-BAIC Group released its sales report for August on September 8. Data shows the automaker sold more than 121,900 vehicles last month, pushing its total for the first eight months of the year past 1.03 million units.

Self-owned brands sustained their growth momentum, with cumulative sales for the first eight months topping 708,200 units — a 13% year-on-year increase. New energy vehicles stood out, with monthly sales surpassing 33,900 units in August, up 17%, while the eight-month total climbed to 254,200 units, a 27% jump. Overseas, BAIC Group sold over 29,500 vehicles in August, a 14% gain, taking its international tally for the period to 242,900 units, up 28%.
Separately, Qiao Xinyu, deputy general manager of the Arcfox brand's user operations center at BAIC New Energy, revealed that the unit delivered 18,712 vehicles in August — a surge of 67.78%. That brings its total deliveries for the first eight months to 145,390 units, an 80.10% increase.
In the first half of the year, BAIC Group’s cumulative sales reached 795,000 units. Self-owned brands accounted for 533,000 of that total, up 14.2%, while new energy vehicle sales hit 181,000 units, rising 22.6%. The first-half results indicate that all of BAIC Group’s business segments are maintaining steady growth.
