This follows the entry of China's smart driving sector into a cycle of mandatory safety compliance and high-redundancy perception. With the mandatory GB 47955 L2 standard taking effect in January 2027 and UNR171-02 regulations approaching, Baolong Automotive aims to help automakers accelerate compliance upgrades.
The system features 11 cameras: two 8-megapixel front-facing units, four 3-megapixel surround-view cameras, four 3-megapixel side-view cameras, and one 3-megapixel rear-view camera. The setup offers high integration, low power consumption, robust shock resistance, and operation in extreme temperatures. The dual 8MP front cameras utilize a 120°/30° dual-FOV wide-and-narrow combination to capture long-range, high-definition road data. This enables precise identification of lanes, vehicles, and road signs, supporting highway driving and lane-change assistance.
The solution is compatible with mainstream system-on-chip platforms from Nvidia, Horizon Robotics, Qualcomm, and SensingTech, balancing domestic compliance requirements with overseas market demands. Leveraging multi-camera redundancy, the system detects crossing pedestrians, sudden cut-ins, and irregular obstacles early. This reduces perception blind spots and strengthens safety redundancy for autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA).
Baolong Automotive plans to iterate its high-definition perception technology to promote the mass deployment and regulatory compliance of advanced intelligent driving systems.
