Shanghai (Gasgoo)- ZEEKR, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand of Geely Auto Group, saw its monthly registrations reach 3,942 units in the first month of 2023, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute ("GARI").
ZEEKR’s monthly registrations in Jan. 2023 fell 65.5% compared to the previous month partly due to the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday, but still jumped 18.99% from the year-ago period.

The year-on-year increase to some degree flowed from the delivery of the ZEEKR 009 MPV, the brand’s second production model.
The ZEEKR 009 recorded a monthly registration volume of 190 units in Jan., the month where the MPV model was registered for the first time.
With 31 units registered, Hangzhou outperformed other cities in China by the Jan. registrations of the ZEEKR 009.
The ZEEKR 001 accounted for 95.18% of ZEEKR brand’s overall registrations in Jan.
In terms of city-level distribution, Shanghai ranked highest among Chinese cities with 517 ZEEKR 001s registered last month, outselling the runner-up, Hangzhou, by 266 units.
ZEEKR announced on Feb. 3 that its third model is named ZEEKR X, which is a compact all-electric SUV to debut at the Auto China 2023.
