Chery Automobile will co-manufacture bulletproof cars with Uruguay BOGNOR

Wuhu Chery Automobile Company website published on Tuesday, Chery Automobile, China fourth largest car factory signed a contract with Uruguay BOGNOR Company, and the two sides will mutually invest in the production of bulletproof cars.

Sources said that the 70% share of the joint venture company will be hold by Purui Investment Coimpany, a subsidiary of Chery Auto; BOGNOR will hold 30%, the first batch of products will be Dongfangzhizi bulletproof cars that are mainly export-oriented.

The sources added that the Uruguay BOGNOR company has a history of bulletproof car design for six years; it is the only professional company to do bullet-proof cars in South America.

Chery Automobile Company sales amounted to 305,000 units last year, auto exports reached 50,000 units, and car exports ranked first for four consecutive years.
