Shanghai, August 14 (Gasgoo.com) In the first half of 2008, the value of China's auto-parts imports grew by some 20 percent year on year, the nation's customs bureau said.
Auto parts imports in the first half grew 19.86 percent to $8.12 billion, while exports rose 21.48 percent to $7.3 billion.
In terms of finished vehicles, imports grew 78.1 percent to $7.81billion from January to June. The value of vehicle exports rose 85 percent from one year earlier to $5 billion.
The total imports of automotive products were $15.92 billion and exports were $20.37 billion in the January-June period.
