As the auto industry undergoes a profound shift, Dongfeng is pushing ahead with its transformation, accelerating efforts to build new advantages in high-quality development.
"Dongfeng was born from the military and grew with it," Yang Qing said, noting the company's shared origins and deep ties with the defense group. He called for stronger strategic trust, urging closer collaboration in military innovation and complementary strengths in civilian markets. By establishing regular dialogue, the two state-owned giants can drive practical cooperation and serve national development goals.
Zhou Zhiping highlighted Dongfeng's leadership in smart manufacturing, intelligent connectivity, and new energy powertrains, pointing to strong industrial synergy. As China North Industries Group pursues its "136" development strategy, Zhou urged the creation of a top-level communication mechanism. The goal, he said, is to leverage their respective strengths, share resources, and fulfill the political, economic, and social responsibilities expected of central state-owned enterprises.
Under the agreement, the partners will deepen ties across technology innovation, global market expansion, supply chains, equipment, and industrial finance. Guided by principles of complementarity and mutual benefit, they aim to accelerate the development of "new quality productive forces" and contribute to a modern industrial system.
Later, Zhou toured Dongfeng's Global Innovation Center, inspecting the company's latest breakthroughs in new energy and intelligent connectivity technologies.
