Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 2, AVATR Technology (AVATR), the new energy vehicle company backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, announced that Li Pengcheng, the former CEO assistant of XPeng, joined the company as vice president, CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), and deputy general manager of AVATR’s user development center.

Li Pengcheng is responsible for all AVATR’s brand marketing related work, specifically in charge of the brand planning and strategy, product communication, public relations (PR), user experience and operation departments under the user development center, reporting to Tan Benhong, AVATR's chairman, CEO, and general manager of the user development center.
Prior to joining AVATR Technology, Li Pengcheng once worked for global car brands, Chinese new energy vehicle brands, and internet user operation platforms. In 2019, Li Pengcheng joined Chinese new energy vehicle startup XPeng as general manager of brand public relations, responsible for the brand communication and PR matters of the startup, reporting directly to XPeng's chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng.
In November 2022, XPeng went through an internal organizational restruction, and Li's position was changed from vice president and general manager of PR to CEO assistant. In early December 2022, Li Pengcheng left the startup.
