Gasgoo Munich- On August 14, the FREELANDER brand made its global debut in Changshu with the FREELANDER 8. Positioned as a "luxury tech all-terrain SUV," the new model revealed pre-sale pricing for its six-seat version and booking prices for the five-seat variant, while also officially launching a limited First Edition.

The six-seater FREELANDER 8 offers three configurations priced between 349,900 and 429,900 yuan, while the five-seater starts at 339,900 yuan. A limited First Edition—capped at 1,000 units—is priced at 449,900 yuan for locked orders, with full deposits now open. Through August 31, deposits on the six-seater unlock pre-sale benefits of up to 121,000 yuan; the five-seater enjoys equivalent deposit deductions and trade-in perks during the booking period. First Edition owners, meanwhile, are eligible for launch benefits totaling up to 171,000 yuan.
Measuring 5,118mm in length with a 3,040mm wheelbase, the model comes standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive and an 800V high-voltage extended-range platform. It offers a CLTC pure electric range of 310km and can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in as little as 4.6 seconds. On the intelligent driving front, two options are available: Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 Enhanced and Ultra versions. The Ultra variant is equipped with an 896-line lidar and a dToF rear solid-state lidar.
Inside, the cabin features a 46.3-inch Mini LED far-end screen, a 15.6-inch central control display, and a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted screen for the second row, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397 chip. Its all-terrain system has been deeply tuned in collaboration with Huawei Qiankun, supporting nine driving modes. The chassis is equipped with closed double-chamber air springs and rear-wheel steering.
The FREELANDER brand was jointly created by Chery and Jaguar Land Rover, blending technological resources from both sides. The new model is currently touring 25 cities across China, with stores opening gradually and appointments available for in-person viewing.
