Fuji Heavy Industries is still in talks with potential partners for joint vehicle production in China and has not made any decisions yet, a company spokesman said Tuesday.
The comment came after the Nikkei reported earlier Tuesday that the maker of Subaru brand vehicles is moving toward partnering with Chinese car maker Chery Automobile Co. on a joint production venture in the city of Dalian.
The Fuji Heavy spokesman said that Chery is one of companies with which the Japanese car maker is in talks.
