Import vehicles volume and sales in Guangdong were 1,564 units and $65.4 million in the first month, down 50.3% and 52.5% compared with the same period last year as well as a drop of 69.1% and 59.4% comparing the previous month. Sales of sedans and SUV's declined 44.4% to 806 units and 61.6% to 448 units.
Sales of imported sedans and crossovers with emissions below 3 liter dropped by 62.9% year-on-year to 700 units., accounting for 44.8% of the total, while sales of beyond 3-liter imported vehicles fall 40.1% to 615 units. Imported vehicles that mostly comes from the US and Europe, takes 78% of the total, and imported vehicles from these two regions exceed that of Japan and Korea's.
