A spokesperson for the automaker said that it is aiming to sell around 10,000 units in the fourth quarter of this year following the vehicle's launch at either the end of October or the beginning of November, but no sales target for the vehicle has been set for 2008, according to China's Nanfang Daily.
The vehicle will be manufactured at the firm's Yancheng (Jiangsu) facility, which currently produces both sedans and SUVs at a rate of around 130,000 units per annum (upa). A second plant, also located in Yencheng, which has a capacity of around 300,000 upa by 2010, will also begin production soon.
