Gasgoo Munich- On August 27, 2026, NIO Power and Science City (Guangzhou) Investment Group Co., Ltd. (known as "Science City Group") held a signing ceremony for an industrial cooperation agreement and a delivery ceremony for the first batch of projects in Huangpu, Guangzhou. The event marked the completion of delivery for the first 23 cooperative battery swap stations.

Under the framework agreement, the two sides plan to jointly invest in and build integrated energy stations combining solar, storage, charging, and swapping in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). They aim to explore a new investment and operation model for infrastructure that fuses "green energy with smart transportation." The initiative will focus on Guangzhou before gradually expanding to Shenzhen and other core cities in the GBA to create regional synergy. Further practical cooperation will cover brand linkage, ecosystem collaboration, technical innovation, and regional industry coordination.
NIO Power remains committed to an open cooperation philosophy, actively exploring industrial expansion with central and state-owned enterprises. Together, they aim to accelerate the densification and improvement of large-scale, standardized, and unified energy replenishment infrastructure. To date, NIO Power has partnered with over 40 local state-owned platforms and financial institutions across 25 provinces and regions, co-building more than 800 battery swap stations. By joining forces with NIO Power to deploy new energy infrastructure, state-owned enterprises are helping build a green, low-carbon industrial system—achieving deep complementarity of resources and capabilities for mutual benefit.

As of August 27, NIO has established 9,253 charging and swapping stations nationwide. This includes 4,041 battery swap stations, 5,212 charging stations, and 30,021 charging piles. The scale of its battery swap and charging infrastructure ranks first in the industry. The company has also completed over 120 million battery swaps and more than 200 million charging and swapping services in total.
