Shanghai, April 8 (Gasgoo.com) Latest statistics released by China's price monitoring center indicate that the prices of home-made vehicles kept stable with a small rise in March in 36 medium- and large-sized cities across the country, but the prices of imported vehicles continued to drop slightly.
The monitoring shows that in March the prices of locally-made vehicles rose by 0.15% month on month, down 2.33% from one year earlier. Prices of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles rose and dropped simultaneously.
In March, prices of passenger vehicles rose by 0.27% against the previous month's 0.18% drop, and decreased 2.25% from one year earlier. And, the prices of ground and sports vehicles rose by 0.43% and 0.38% respectively over February. The prices of minitrucks dropped 0.24% month-on-month. Prices of commercial vehicles slightly dropped by 0.22% (m/m) from February's 0.60% rise, and by 2.54% year-on-year.
Due to the RMB appreciation and some other factors, prices of imported vehicles continued to drop slightly. In March, imported vehicles' prices dropped 0.23% month-on-month, down 0.94% year-on-year.
And imported sedans' prices dropped by 0.95% in March from the previous month, with 0.18 percentage reduced, while the imported all-terrain vehicles' prices rose 0.80% (m/m) from the previous month's 1.48% drop, but decreased by 4.31% year-on-year.
