Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 5) - The Roewe 950, previously known as the Roewe R95, will be hitting the Chinese market next Wednesday, auto.ifeng.com reported today. The 950 will be reportedly be aimed at the mid to high-end market.
The 950 (pictured) has several design motifs in common with the Buick LaCrosse. The car also shares its measurements with the LaCrosse, measuring 4.99 m long, 1.85 m wide and 1.5 m tall, with a wheelbase of 2.84 m. The 950 is built on the BP31 platform. The interior comes in a two-tone black and beige theme with wood trimmings. The 950 is equipped with a start button, multi-functional steering wheel, 8" LCD display and rear seat controls, placing it well above other vehicles in its class. The car comes with 2.0 L, 2.4 L and 3.0 L engine options available, able to output up to 154 hp, 186 hp and 265 hp, respectively.
Whether looking at design, space, adornments or power, the 950 looks to be an attractive choice for its target audience. It remains to be seen what SAIC will price the car at.
