In the first five months this year major automakers in China (top 15 automakers listed by the government) experienced a tremendous sales and revenue growth.

Accumulated profits of these automakers were 23, 77 billion yuan, up 65.81% or 9, 43 billion yuan year on year, and was 14.49 percent higher than in the first six months. Revenue income of these automaker were 49, 89 billion yuan, up 39, 92 or 14,24 billion yuan, 6.48 higher than the first four months.
Auto enterprises like Chery Auto, Qingling Motors, Geely Motor, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, Guangzhou Auto all realize a three-digit growth, SAIC, Beijing Auto and FAW saw a profit increase by more than 50%, 59.19%, 59.13% and 52.89% respectively, but Changhe Auto continued to see heavy loss during the period.
