Xynova Debuts at Global Digital Trade Expo, Unveils Hybrid-Drive and Direct-Drive Dexterous Hands

Gasgoo Munich- The fifth Global Digital Trade Expo is underway at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center, running from Sept. 23 to 27. Embodied-intelligence startup Xynova is using Hall 2 to fully unveil its dual product line for the first time: the Flex 2 hybrid-drive dexterous hand and the Prima 1 direct-drive dexterous hand.

On display, the Flex 2 is a bionic dexterous hand driven by a hybrid "tendon + direct" system. It packs 23 degrees of freedom, weighs 400 grams, and handles a peak grasp load of 12 kg alongside a rated continuous operating load of 4 kg. Built for industrial and consumer settings, the device targets tasks demanding both strength and dexterity on production lines and in homes.

Sharing the spotlight, the Prima 1 is a research-grade, fully articulated direct-drive hand. It offers 22 degrees of freedom, an opening and closing speed of 0.08 seconds, and force-control precision down to 0.5 newtons. The model targets high-precision force control and cutting-edge embodied-intelligence research, making it a fit for high-fidelity data collection and algorithm validation platforms.

At its booth, Xynova deployed a Pebble robot fitted with the Prima 1 to paint traditional ink-wash landscapes — a showcase of stability in long-horizon motion planning. Visitors could also experience the Flex 2's full-palm tactile interaction. Named one of Hangzhou's "New Eight Steeds," Xynova is pursuing both hybrid- and pure direct-drive tech routes. The startup plans to share data flows between the two product lines, accelerating the shift from lab research to commercial deployment for dexterous-hand technology.
