Gasgoo Munich- From Sept. 1 to 10, Zelos teamed up with two Thai agencies — the Department of Science Service and the Office of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Committee, both under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation — to launch the country's first national-level L4 connected and autonomous vehicle test project, evaluating the Zelos RoboVan.

The trial spans more than 20 scenarios tailored to local traffic conditions: mixed-flow interactions with pedestrians, cars and heavy motorcycle traffic, along with traffic-light responses, turns, lane-keeping, car-following, automated parking and main-road merging. The goal is to benchmark the vehicle's perception, decision-making and safety control across varied operating conditions. Testing relies on Thailand's T-CAV automated proving infrastructure, referencing the ADAS EURO NCAP standard and the international ISO 22737:2021 standard for low-speed autonomous driving systems on predefined routes.
Once closed-track validation wraps up, the next phase shifts to the WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate. There, the Zelos RoboVan will enter a live industrial park to navigate real-world logistics scenarios.
Thailand's Office of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Committee says the road data generated will help shape the country's future autonomous driving policies, L4 test standards and admission criteria. Zelos, for its part, already operates across China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Austria, running logistics services in express delivery, fresh goods and food distribution.
