One of the highlights of the 2009 Guangzhou Auto Show in China will be the world debut of the 2010 Lexus GX 460. Toyota confirmed on Friday that the revamped midsize SUV will be formally unveiled on November 23.
The company did not release technical specifications or official images of the fully redesigned Lexus GX 460, which replaces the current Lexus GX 470. The SUV is expected to have Toyota's new 4.6-liter V8, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque in the Toyota Tundra and Sequoia.
Based on the same body-on-frame platform architecture as the 2010 Toyota 4Runner, the 2010 Lexus GX 460 is also a sibling of the world-market Land Cruiser Prado, which made its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show. Our GX is expected to look similar to that vehicle, with such touches as a Lexus grille, all-new sheetmetal and an updated interior.
The GX 460 is expected to arrive at U.S. dealers in December.
