The joint venture also revealed that a facelift Mazda 2 model will be launched in October this year, with slight changes to be made in the appearance and the interior.
Compared with the existing Mazda 2, the 2011 Mazda 2 is faster, more fuel-efficient and more fun to drive. Even when parked, its sharp contours and soft transitions give it a sense of motion. It always looks ready for action.

The 2011 Mazda 2 features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, spinning up a whopping 103 hp/ 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 197Nm/4250rpm, which matches a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, it will perform better, sip less fuel and produce 15% lower CO2 emissions than the existing model.
At present, the 2011 Mazda 2 is already available in the North American market and is sold at around $14,000 under the brand names Sport and Touring.
