Gasgoo Munich- The 28th Chongqing International Automobile Exhibition opened on June 13, 2026, Gasgoo has learned. Changan Automobile, showcasing brands including Avatr, Deepal, and Changan Qiyuan at its dedicated "Changan N8 Hall," took the wraps off its proprietary "Tianshu Pilot" driver-assistance system.

The system rolls out in three tiers: Pro, Max, and Ultra. The Pro variant comes standard with LiDAR, which officials say detects obstacles two seconds faster than the human eye in low-light conditions like tunnels or at night. Paired with the SDA central ring network architecture, response times improve by another 150 milliseconds. Built on over 20 million real-world driving data points, the Max version offers predictive capabilities for complex commuting scenarios. The Ultra tier integrates a Vision-Language Model (VLM) to enable interactive assisted driving. Looking ahead, Changan plans to introduce active protection features for driver incapacitation.
At the launch, Changan drew a hard line: assisted driving is not autonomous driving. Drivers remain responsible for monitoring the road in real time and must be ready to take control at any moment.
The Changan Qiyuan Q06 will feature the "Tianshu Pilot" system across its entire lineup, with a market launch slated for the second half of this year.
Zhu Huarong, chairman of Changan Automobile, said the company is committed to working with partners and users to drive intelligent driver-assistance technology toward a future that is better, more practical, and more accessible.
Changan views this debut as a milestone in its intelligent transformation under its "1445" global strategy. The company’s R&D in this field dates back to 2009. It has since established the Tianshu Intelligent Experiment Center — the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Vehicle Safety Technology. The facility supports global collaboration and round-the-clock testing across more than 400,000 virtual simulation scenarios. Over the past five years, over 2,000 engineers have logged more than 5 million kilometers of road testing in Chongqing, covering 185 distinct scenarios.
Changan pledged to deepen cooperation with global partners to deliver "smart mobility solutions with ultimate safety."
