Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Jan 6, XPENG announced that the 2026 XPENG P7+ has successfully completed its trial build at the company's plant in Graz, Austria. The company said Chinese and Austrian teams are now advancing subsequent R&D and production steps to ensure high-quality deliveries.

Earlier, XPENG said the 2026 XPENG P7+ and G7 will go on sale in China on Jan 8, followed by a European launch on Jan 9.
According to the company, the 2026 XPENG P7+ will come in both battery-electric and range-extended versions, with 104 user-experience upgrades. The pure-electric line adopts an 800 V high-voltage architecture across the range and features an AI battery supporting 5C ultra-fast charging; under the CLTC cycle, maximum range reaches 725 km.
The range-extended model is billed as "the world's longest all-electric-range range-extended fastback," offering a CLTC electric-only range of 430 km and a combined range of 1,550 km. It pairs a 1.5T range extender rated at 110 kW with a 49.2 kWh LFP battery pack.
In terms of dimensions, the P7+ range-extended version measures 5,071 mm long, 1,937 mm wide and 1,512 mm high, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase and a curb weight of 2,160 kg. The design introduces a new language, including a larger active air intake below the front bumper, a full-width taillight with a driver-assistance status indicator at its center, and a body-colored rear bumper.
On the intelligent hardware front, the car carries three Turing chips, delivering total system compute of 2,250 TOPS. The 2026 XPENG P7+ will also feature the company's second-generation VLA. According to XPENG, the second-gen VLA, powered by its in-house Turing AI chips, offers up to 2,250 TOPS of industry-leading effective compute, boosts inference efficiency by 12x, and expands parameter count to 10x that of mainstream solutions. Unlike traditional VLA models that follow a "vision-language-action" stack, XPENG's second-gen VLA removes the language translation step, enabling end-to-end outputs from visual signals to action commands.
