AISTALAND GX7 Global Debut: Positioned as a "Spacious" Five-Seat SUV, Can Transform into a Bed

Edited by Greg From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-On June 26, at the launch event for the AISTALAND GT7, the brand’s second strategic model — the new smart "spacious" five-seat SUV, the AISTALAND GX7 — made its global debut. The vehicle addresses a long-standing dilemma in the large five-seat SUV market: the difficulty of balancing styling with interior space, offering a fresh product solution.

The AISTALAND GX7 adopts the brand’s signature short overhang and long wheelbase design, boasting a wheelbase of 3,070 mm and an axle-to-length ratio of 60%. According to the company, the car aims to strike a balance between a sporty SUV stance and passenger room. To resolve the common design conflict where a sloping roof crushes headroom while a raised roof ruins the profile, the GX7 features a two-stage roofline. The front section runs straight to preserve rear headroom, merging dynamic aesthetics with practical interior space.

For in-car relaxation, the GX7 offers an electric, one-touch automatic bed mechanism that transforms the seats into a full bed within 20 seconds. The company notes that this requires no aftermarket modifications or extra mattresses, aiming to enhance the convenience of resting inside the vehicle.

As a premium smart new-energy brand co-created by GAC Group and Huawei Qiankun, the AISTALAND GX7 leverages a deep joint R&D model. It integrates GAC’s resources in vehicle manufacturing, supply chains, and production with Huawei’s capabilities in smart automotive technology. This approach differs from the shallow collaboration typical of traditional OEMs and suppliers, aiming to build a systematic competitive edge.

In terms of product layout, the GT7 and GX7 form AISTALAND’s "dual flagship" lineup. The GT7 is positioned as a smart shooting brake, while the GX7 enters the mainstream SUV market. According to the brand’s roadmap, AISTALAND will gradually expand its portfolio by 2028 to cover mainstream segments including sedans and SUVs.

On the R&D and production front, AISTALAND’s entire value chain is rooted in Guangzhou, relying on the region’s automotive industrial cluster. The company has already secured a Level 3 autonomous driving road test license in Guangzhou, with cumulative test mileage exceeding 300,000 km.
