The new center will leverage JAC Group's deep expertise in vehicle R&D and manufacturing, integrating it with Huawei Digital Power's core technology in the smart vehicle motion domain. Focusing on high-voltage, high-efficiency, and intelligent directions for the next generation of new energy vehicles, the partners will tackle cutting-edge technologies in areas like smart electric control, power module applications, and high-performance motors. The aim is to solidify their collaborative innovation capabilities and build products and solutions with global market competitiveness.
As early as April 2024, JAC Group and Huawei Digital Power signed a "Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement" in Beijing. Centering on the integration of vehicles, devices, and charging infrastructure, the pact covered areas including new energy vehicle model and platform development, smart electric component application and manufacturing, charging network construction and operations, and international expansion. In April 2025, the parties followed up with a "Comprehensive Deepening Strategic Cooperation Agreement" in Shanghai, sharpening their focus on the joint definition and manufacturing of smart electric motion domain components, charging network operations, and the joint development of ultra-fast charging technology for heavy commercial vehicles.
The establishment of this joint innovation center underscores the ongoing progress and deepening of the strategic partnership. It represents a leap from product-level coordination to co-research on underlying technologies—a new paradigm for future industrial collaboration.
