Gasgoo Munich- On January 19, Apollo Go announced it has teamed up with AutoGo, a UAE-based autonomous mobility company, to launch fully driverless commercial operations for the public in Abu Dhabi.

Residents and tourists can now hail Apollo Go's fully driverless vehicles via the AutoGo app. The service debuts on Yas Island, with plans to gradually expand across more of Abu Dhabi.
Yas Island is a premier Middle Eastern resort destination home to world-class attractions like Ferrari World and Warner Bros. Theme Park. Apollo Go's arrival is set to bolster smart mobility and upgrade the tourism experience in the region.
In fact, Apollo Go has moved rapidly since entering the Abu Dhabi market in March 2025. Shortly after its arrival, it forged a strategic partnership with AutoGo to deploy its sixth-generation autonomous vehicles in designated zones. Over the following months, the company successfully completed fully driverless tests on local public roads, validating its capability for large-scale deployment.
By November of that same year, Apollo Go secured Abu Dhabi's first batch of permits for fully driverless commercial operations. It also deepened its alliance with AutoGo, outlining plans to deploy hundreds of autonomous vehicles by 2026 to create the city's largest fully driverless fleet.
Beyond the Middle East, Apollo Go is actively expanding into Europe and other overseas markets. In August 2025, it struck a strategic partnership with Lyft to offer autonomous ride-hailing services across the continent via the Lyft platform. The companies plan to deploy Apollo Go's sixth-generation vehicles in Germany and the UK starting in 2026, eventually scaling up to thousands of units to achieve mass adoption in Europe.
Data shows that as of October 31, 2025, Apollo Go had covered 22 cities globally, with cumulative orders surpassing 17 million.
