Apollo Go Resumes Fully Driverless Testing and Operations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

According to sources familiar with the matter, Apollo Go, Baidu's autonomous ride-hailing platform, has recently resumed its fully driverless testing and commercial operations in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The simultaneous push across these two major emirates signals an acceleration in its global expansion and paves the way for large-scale commercialization in the UAE.

Public records show that in January 2026, Apollo Go secured Dubai's first-ever permit for fully driverless testing and inaugurated its first overseas autonomous driving operations hub (Apollo Go Park). During the same month, the platform officially opened its fully driverless ride-hailing services to the public in Abu Dhabi.

To date, Apollo Go has successfully deployed autonomous driving services in 26 cities worldwide, surpassing a cumulative milestone of 20 million orders.
