Gasgoo Munich- On Feb. 10, Apollo Go, Baidu's autonomous mobility unit, announced an expanded strategic partnership with Uber that will see fully driverless ride-hailing services launched in Dubai in the first quarter of 2026.

The rollout will mark the first time the emirate introduces a commercial mobility service operating entirely without human drivers, underscoring Dubai's ambition to position itself at the forefront of intelligent transportation.
The Dubai initiative builds on Apollo Go's earlier progress in the region. In January 2026, the company partnered with local operator AutoGo to begin public-facing, fully driverless commercial operations in Abu Dhabi, allowing residents to book autonomous rides directly through the AutoGo app.
With Uber now joining forces in Dubai, Apollo Go is extending its Middle East footprint from a single-city deployment to a broader, multi-partner regional strategy.
Beyond the Middle East, Apollo Go has been steadily expanding its global ecosystem into Europe. Through deeper collaboration with ride-hailing platforms such as Uber and Lyft, the company plans to begin autonomous driving tests and pilot ride services in London in 2026. Separately, a strategic partnership with Swiss public transport operator PostBus has enabled testing programs across three eastern Swiss cantons, where Apollo Go is introducing a tailored autonomous service branded AmiGo.
By the end of October 2025, Apollo Go's autonomous fleet had logged more than 240 million kilometers worldwide. Its services now span 22 cities globally, with cumulative completed rides exceeding 17 million, providing a growing operational track record as the company pushes toward large-scale, fully driverless deployment across international markets.
