Yang Xiaoming, president of Aptiv China and Asia Pacific, said the company will leverage its cutting-edge technology and R&D strengths in automotive intelligent systems and engineering components. The move is designed to drive comprehensive cooperation in vehicle intelligence and AI manufacturing, supporting Cornex's high-quality growth.
Cornex director Dai Deming emphasized that the cockpit domain controller acts as the vehicle's "smart brain" and is central to intelligent development. By tapping Aptiv's proven expertise in central computing platforms and domain control manufacturing, the partnership aims to rapidly elevate Cornex's intelligent control capabilities and overall vehicle performance.
Aptiv offers full-stack delivery capabilities—spanning hardware to software integration—in core areas like central computing, smart cockpits, and cross-domain fusion. Deepening its commitment to China, the company has ramped up investment recently, with a strategic focus on Wuhan as a hub for the central automotive industry. By teaming up with Cornex, Aptiv aims to foster multi-level synergy across the city, industry, and enterprise, creating a closed-loop R&D and production ecosystem to further empower the "brain" behind the wheel.
