Gasgoo Munich- Aptiv announced on Sept. 10 that it has started mass deliveries of a next-generation smart front-view camera designed specifically for Chinese automakers expanding overseas. The system is now featured in a leading Chinese NEV maker's latest model bound for the European Union.

Developed by Aptiv's China R&D team using a local automotive-grade SoC, the system runs on Wind River's RTOS and incorporates global visual perception technologies.
Regarding safety standards, the smart front-view camera fully meets E-NCAP 2026 five-star requirements. This capability helps domestic brands clear the European Union's high entry barriers.
The hardware architecture utilizes a single SoC solution with an integrated MCU, shrinking hardware volume by 20% and cutting power consumption by 20%. This design lowers system material costs while maintaining performance.
In terms of perception and computing power, the unit carries a domestic high-performance chip paired with an 8-megapixel, 120-degree field-of-view camera module. It also integrates Stradvision's visual perception technology, enhancing both computing power and sensing accuracy.
The product deploys Wind River RTOS as its software foundation, ensuring the stable operation of active safety algorithms.
Furthermore, Aptiv's Chinese and international teams jointly developed the algorithms to adapt to European road characteristics and local driving habits.
