Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 22) - The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has once again started collecting public opinions regarding dealer responsibilities in automobile maintenance, replacement and return, chinanews.com reported today. The AQSIQ will begin a hearing of the opinion in the end of this October.

The goal of the hearing is to decide on clear guidelines to give automobile dealers regarding the responsibilities they must uphold for repair, replacement and returns. Preliminary ideas would see dealers responsible for any vehicle that has been driven for less than two years or has 40,000 km of accumulated driving distance. If a quality fault is found thirty days within purchases, the consumer has the option of opting for repair, replacement or return. The dealer should be prepared to offer free return service. Additionally, if quality problems with the engine, transmission or chassis persist after two repairs, the dealer must be ready to offer a free return.
