An industry group that represents auto dealers spent $225,000 lobbying Congress and federal agencies during the second quarter on issues related to auto repairs, fuel economy and taxes, according to a recent disclosure report.
The American International Automobile Dealers Association spent less than the $250,000 it devoted to lobbying the same quarter of 2009 and less than the $235,000 it spending 2010's first quarter, according to a lobbying report filed July 20 with the House clerk's office.
The dealer group lobbied Congress and the executive branch on legislation related to small businesses, estate taxes, Wall Street reform and health care.
