AutoFlight V2000CG receives world's first foreign airworthiness certificate for eVTOL

Edited by Aya From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-On June 11, AutoFlight revealed its V2000CG has officially secured a Validated Type Certificate (VTC) from Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This makes it the first eVTOL aircraft globally to receive overseas type validation.

As the only eVTOL in the ton-plus class to hold the Civil Aviation Administration of China's (CAAC) full airworthiness certification, the V2000CG's Indonesian VTC confirms its design meets standards in both its country of origin (China) and the importing nation (Indonesia). This clears the path for commercial operations in the archipelago.

On May 19, Gasgoo reported that AutoFlight's self-developed 2-ton eVTOL completed a demonstration flight in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It marked the first advanced air mobility flight by a large eVTOL in Central Asia, signaling the first deep integration of Chinese high-end eVTOL technology with the region's low-altitude industry.

The flight was conducted in partnership with Alatau Advance Air Group Ltd. (AAAG).

AAAG had previously purchased and paid for large eVTOL aircraft from AutoFlight.

At the ceremony, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). AAAG will purchase an additional 50 V2000/V5000 series large eVTOLs to build a low-altitude transport network in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian regions. AutoFlight, meanwhile, will provide support covering delivery, operational training, after-sales maintenance, and marketing.
